How Does diVa Laser Therapy Work?
Changes to a woman's vaginal and urinary tract systems can result in issues with dryness, itching, urinating, and more. Treatment with diVa™ laser therapy helps restore healthy tissue and decrease problematic symptoms. Read on to learn more.

It's natural for women's bodies — and vaginas — to change over time, but that doesn't mean we have to accept the unpleasant effects of aging, childbirth, and more. Fortunately, laser vaginal rejuvenation with diVa laser therapy can help improve sex lives and decrease embarrassing urine leaking.

Whether you're seeking relief from vaginal issues or are looking to refresh your skin, hair, or body, Cascade Medspa & Laser Centre in Baxter, Minnesota, can help. We combine our skilled staff's many years of experience with FDA-approved devices and products for state-of-the-art care that will leave you rejuvenated and looking your best.

Vaginal issues

Like all parts of our bodies, our vaginas age over time. Several other life events including vaginal childbirth, menopause, and more can cause significant changes as well.

Vaginal childbirth can result in the canal and nearby tissues becoming stretched. This is especially true when the baby is large and/or if forceps are used to aid in the delivery.

Aging and menopause can bring a drop in estrogen and physical changes to the vagina, vaginal opening, and vulva-like dryness and itching. Sexual intercourse may become uncomfortable. Urinary problems like stress incontinence can also occur making every laugh, cough, or sneeze a stressful event, wondering if you will have an involuntary urine leak.

Vaginal rejuvenation

diVa laser therapy employs hybrid fractional laser (HFL) technology using two different wavelengths synergistically. The first laser beam resurfaces the layers of tissue which encourages new growth. The second heats the layers of tissue where collagen is located. The results from this state-of-the-art procedure include thicker vaginal walls and rebuilt structural supporting tissues of the vagina and bladder.

The procedure

Vaginal rejuvenation treatment is noninvasive and customized to address your particular symptoms and desired outcome. You begin by laying on the table and propping your feet up in stirrups. To ensure your comfort, a topical numbing cream is applied to the vaginal area. Finally, a sterile wand applies the two laser beams of energy to the canal wall. During this part of the procedure, you may feel light pressure and warmth.

Vaginal rejuvenation with laser therapy is fast, lasting 20 minutes or less. It is done right in the office for your convenience with little downtime. For the most part, you can return to your regular routine right after.

If you're tired of suffering from vaginal or urinary challenges, treatment with diVa laser therapy may be right for you. Call our office at 218-454-9999 or click here to book an appointment today to learn more.
